Physical therapy for rotator cuff injuries

An August 2022 study (1) examines the routine prescribing of exercise for rotator cuff-related shoulder pain. The researches write: “Exercise is considered to be both essential and at the forefront of the management of rotator cuff-related shoulder pain.. Despite this, many fail to substantially improve with exercise-based treatment. . . . The causal explanation for the beneficial effect of exercise for rotator cuff-related shoulder pain in clinical research is dominated by biomedical mechanisms (physical injury), despite a lack of supporting evidence.”
